What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Immediate Effects

• Your account will be deactivated immediately
• You will no longer be able to log in to the app
• Your profile will no longer be visible to other users
• You will stop receiving notifications and emails from Aurea

Data Deletion Timeline

• Immediately: Personal profile information and account settings
• Within 24 hours: Event participation history and user-generated content
• Within 30 days: All remaining personal data and analytics
• Within 90 days: Complete removal from all backup systems

What Data Will Be Deleted

The following information will be permanently removed:

• Your profile information (name, email, bio, profile picture)
• Event creation and participation history
• Messages and communications with other users
• Preferences and settings
• Location data and usage analytics
• Payment information (if applicable)
• All other personal data associated with your account

What Data May Be Retained

Some information may be retained for legal or operational reasons:

• Transaction records (for accounting and tax purposes)
• Data required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
• Anonymized usage data (with no personal identifiers)
• Content that other users have saved or shared

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: Through the App

1. Open the Aurea app
2. Go to Settings → Account Settings
3. Scroll down to "Delete Account"
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
5. Confirm your decision by entering your password

Method 2: Contact Support

If you cannot access the app or prefer to delete your account through support:

1. Email us at contact@aureaapp.com
2. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
3. Provide your account email address
4. Confirm your identity with account details
5. We will process your request within 7 business days

Account Recovery

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted:

• You cannot recover your account or data
• You cannot use the same email address to create a new account for 30 days
• All your event history and connections will be lost
• You will need to start over if you decide to rejoin Aurea
